So much wrong here.
Let's dissect it.
a) a culture where taking work home is acceptable
b) taking other people's data home
c) stopping at a someplace other than home while in the possession of other people's data
d) getting pass-out drunk while in the possession of other people's data
Don't be this person.
@Mandypar - I'm guessing it was actually expected that he work on it at home.
Which is a problem itself.
@0x56 I worked from home, I had access to worldwide data (everything but credit card numbers) but then I never took data anywhere, I deleted data as soon as I didn't need it and I masked data when I could. I could have been better I know, but I certainly wasn't reckless with it.
@0x56 Good lord - did they not have any standards to stop that being put on a USB or leaving the building? I guess at least it was encrypted and password protected, but that isn't good enough really - it can be still got at. 🙄
