TIL: my keyboard is not coffee proof.
I also learned that I've become too attached to a certain keyboard layout. (it has to be perfectly flat - no rise on the back. Has to be a /FULL/ 101 keyboard, with properly spaced function keys (so I can hit them by feel) and the insert/delete/home/end/pg up& down buttons all in the right place
I can only use the Logitech 750 apparently. And they are now rarified so they cost $70 or more
@stueytheround - yes... it also included a free bump to the head
@0x56 How'd you manage that?
@stueytheround - there's an old cabinet over my desk. I leaned over too far when I put my coffee on my desk, hit my head, spilled the coffee and then bought a new keyboard.
@0x56 Oh dear! Sounds like a slapstick comedy scene! 😂
@stueytheround - complete with my wife interrupting her conference call to see if I was alright.
@0x56 So it was just your wallet that got hurt or do you have a lump on your head?
@stueytheround - wallet and pride.
@0x56 @stueytheround Owie! I hope your day starts going better.
@0x56
I'm hooked on the Logitech K740 illuminated keyboard.
Super-low profile.
Modest tactile feedback.
Plenty of space around the cursor keys.
@jurban - fits ALMOST everything I need - but no insert key (I'm an old skool DOS guy who still uses shift-insert/ctrl-insert for paste & copy)
@0x56
My Insert key is right above the Delete key -
a dangerous position for regular use.
@XSGeek - that looks really interesting ---- but my muscle memory couldn't handle it!
@0x56
Ouch...

Might want to consider backups from Ebay?

@InvaderGzim - yeah, after I get the emergency one tomorrow, I'll look into alternate suppliers
@0x56 Ouch. That's an expensive coffee!
