Replaying through Metal Gear Solid games and I forgot just how weird parts of Metal Gear Solid 2 get. Haven't played that one since it pretty much came out on the PlayStation 2.

Having a hacked PlayStation classic is kind of fun, but the carousel gets a little full when you start adding like hundreds and hundreds of games to it. Lol.
Gonna have to organize it a bit

I hate when looking for answers to a problem, you find articles and videos of people doing things the exact way you did them, only for your attempt to try it and you see nothing but errors.

A week into my new job and it's been pretty great. But damn, speed running the standard training, the kind almost every moderately sized company makes you do, over the course of years in your first few days is rough.

Sitting here at the end of the first day of 2024, and honestly, I'm super excited to see where things go.
Got a side project featured on the official site of the game it was built for.
Starting a new job in a few days.
Looking forward to seeing what else is gonna come along.

Went to a visitation for an acquaintance that was a much closer friend to my wife. He was a kind person who touched many a peoples lives as a positive force.
There were people in renaissance fair garb, onesies, Touch Consent stickers, Pronoun stickers, and literally more people than could fit in the funeral home.
They also had a table with his dice, letting people take one die in memory.
It was sad, but also just kinda awe inspiring to see this outpouring of love for such a kind and awesome guy

Sharing a picture of the tree, because I'm proud of the lights and the animated eyes on the Jason mask.

Got the lights working. Tree got delivered today.

It's all coming together

Also, today I have pretty much all of the parts I need for a awesome light display on our Christmas tree this year. Fingers crossed it works out

Day 4 of Advent of Code done. Learned a lot but had a lot of help.
Should make future days a bit easier.
Still having issues with day 3 so will probably try that again tomorrow

Also trying to stay up to date with Advent of Code this year. Finished day two on day two with about 3 minutes to spare.
Could try to do day three tonight. But I think I'm going to wait till tomorrow. Doing it in rust, which is an interesting experience

We t Christmas shopping and finally getting a tree and everything, and going to getting some addressable led lights for some great animations. Should be up sometime this week.
Finally starting to feel like the season
Hopefully be able to decorate better next year.

Good morning.
Monday on my week off and taking the wife to get a scan at the hospital. Always fun getting up early in days off

Due to money issues we still done have a tree right now.
But I set up my digital countdown clock. It feels nice to have some holiday cheer in here.

Talking to my eldest about his friends.
Me: I don't know why your friends are scared of Mama. Everyone should be afraid of me. I hold grudges.
My wife: Hi, I'm grudge.
Lololol

So this weekend, took the time to watch the Five Nights at Freddy's movie and finally sat down and watched Willy's Wonderland
FNaF was better than I expected, but my God, Willy's was so much more fun to watch.

But I do love "bad" movies.

So, in an effort to rekindle my JavaScript/ Typescript skills, built a hand builder for an upcoming board game.
Got great feedback so far, and super happy people other than me are finding it useful.

Still relatively early and lots of improvements can still be made, but enjoying a bit of satisfaction.

Playing an online X-Winf league through Tabletop Simulator. This week I had to play Scum and Villainy. I won. /celebrate
