So I ask my brother if he's still got that big hard drive with all his collected digital library from working in academia, if he'd like me to back it up.

They're organized in directories A through Z.

There's subdirectories inside those, of course, so not that bad, right?

There are 3,133 subdirectories under "R".

About 5TB of mostly text, with some PDFs, images, etc.

It would probably take me days just to read the _titles_ of what he collected over decades.
