I GOT AN OFFER!! FOR THE NEW JOB!! I can't believe I got it. It's surreal. I accepted it without hesitation.
I'm currently trying to find the courage to call (or maybe email😬) the people at my current company to tell them I'm putting in my 2 weeks... They will NOT be happy with me... I'm prepared to be guilt-tripped, yelled at, the whole nine yards. Just expecting the worst from this. /1
And I get it. I've only been here for 4ish months & I'm already leaving. I have a lot of stuff on my plate that I'll be dumping onto other people. They'll have to find someone to replace me, which will be a struggle, esp because I'm only giving them a 2-week notice.
But, in fairness to me, the entirety of the leadership at the company treated me like shit for the first couple months. /2
I mean, my direct supervisor made me cry twice in one month because of how manipulative and mean she can be. When I went to management about it, they brushed it off bc leadership is so cliquey & would never condemn one of their own. They alluded my physical health was not as important as work when I got super sick 2 weeks after being hired.
It is NOT a company I feel loyal to and NOT a company I want to work for. /3
