I still don't understand why Jack Smith submitted the top secret documents case in Florida instead of DC. It looks like prosecutorial malpractice to me.

@MarceloPaezPereda @DevinY1 Because when the documents were taken from DC, Trump was still president (by a few hours only). No crime that they could prove was committed in DC. The crime was retention of the documents, which happened in FL.

Thanks. That is one possible argument but I'm sure it can also be argued that the affected parties are based on DC. Smith could have at least tried but he didn't.
