I'm tired of living through pivotal moments in history. Can't I just go back to living through a decade or so the history books will skip over instead? I feel like, right now, we're at the chapter of history just before the one where all the pictures are big arrows with flag colours on them. And I'd really like to not be here.

@CrypticMirror I’ve been telling the family since 2016 that 1) you are living through history and 2) everything will be OK, America will hold and democracy will endure. It’s been both horrifying and thrilling.
