Have you ever wondered what a Giant Sequoia Tree that went through an extreme wildfire event might look like? Here's one from the Sierra Nevada mountains that *seems* to have survived the KNP Complex Fire of 2020. They can be *huge* trees so this is from standing in front of it.

@wyrmeboi they are amazing. i love these ancient, gentle giants so much. but i've also been affected by what's been happening to them since 2020 because of our new high-intensity wildfires. i think we lost almost 20% of the world's population of Giant Sequoia Trees since 2020. it's mind-blowing.
