@Tee_Lynn I remember a commercial when I was a kid with chocolate milk coming from a chocolate cow on a chocolate farm. I didn't think anybody would grow up thinking it was true.

A city, apparently. The disconnect is real. Lots of city kids don't know cows, pigs, and chickens are killed to provide meat to grocery stores. I remember a post on Twitter back in the day where a lady insisted we didn't have to kill cows for meat because they sold hamburger at the grocery store.

@Tee_Lynn @Kittiekatt53 Wow. Not a good "wow". My dad took me hunting with him one fall when I was still in elementary school and explained where meat comes from and why I should always be thankful for any meat I eat.

There are people -- for too many, sadly -- who have never left the urban environment into which they were born. It's quite understandable that people who have never been exposed to farms and rural settings may not be able to comprehend how essential those environments are for our nation's survival.
