Oh! And because you know I've never actually finished the books... I recently found out Merry and Pippin were buried as kings. And that Pippin had eventually become the new Old Took! And it just made it that much more special to me that you've always called me the Merry to your Pippin. 💜
@weirdfizz Also Merry was the Master of Buckland, which honestly had about a similar amount of prestige in the Shire, even if it was a slightly younger position.
@ruffboi So all hobbits have second breakfast? And the two coolest hobbits in the Shire had to go on a journey with an elf and only one breakfast to save the world?
No wonder the treants didn't scare them. They had already survived too much by that point.
