Remember when America would send people to emerging democracies to make sure that everyone got a chance to vote?

@kendonnelly We 🇺🇸 need some Indians. I read an article about election workers trekking two days through mountains to set up a polling station, in case one old woman decided to vote. There's a law that no voter can live more than a prescribed distance from a polling station, and they take laws on democracy seriously.

@kendonnelly Looks like they're still doing it. Meanwhile in the US election officials in several states are doing everything possible to prevent people from voting. Removing ballot boxes and closing polling stations in minority neighborhoods. Purging voters from registration lists who have foreign sounding names. Etc.😥
