The secret service is short staffed and routinely has to deny requests for additional protection. Though there was no denial for the Trump rally.
Why? Not Biden's fault. Not Trump's fault. Not fault of Congressional Republicans. Funding has been increasing, not cut. Turns out it's a really tough job few people want to do for very long.
