Even had death threat on TW. I might be overly sensitive. But I don’t appreciate married men knocking at my door.
@LnzyHou @SpaceSlothForever Maybe I'm just old but I don't get the electronic hitting on women thing. Why, there's no way to meet L even if she lived nearby, no way to tell where she lives unless she posts it. There's no way to tell she's female, only that she has a photo of a female.
Yet I know it happens. 😥 Once in VR a guy approached me and suggested we go together to hit on a group of girls. Lord! We were cartoon avatars, as were they. I left that virtual world.

Shortly before I found CoSo, I joined Tribel. Within 2 weeks, I had 400+ male followers. 90% jumped directly into my DM “hey baby”.
I #deactivated by week 3.
Each time a guy joins CoSo & follows only women, I know what’s coming next. I block instantly. Usually J follows within 24 hrs—splatted.
Wish I could lock my DM doors
@LnzyHou @walterbays @SpaceSlothForever You could always go with a neutral name and avatar. I guess it's too late for that, and context clues from posts would soon make it clear your life experiences. I don't really know what the solution is, but I was surprised to find that you think of DM's like walking in somebody's door. I always thought of them as a one-to-one phone call vs conference call. I guess I had better rethink that.
@LnzyHou @elbutterfield @SpaceSlothForever You're surely not the only one. Knowing that this view exists we can avoid accidentally offending people. Your solution seems simple and effective. Just ask: may I DM you?

Works for me.
