Abbot murders three. Texas troopers prevent federal border agents from rescuing a mother and two children drowning in the Rio Grande.

@walterbays
Time to send Seal Team 6 in and arrest the texass rangers. and then put a border around Texas in all adjoining states and do a deal with Mexico to let it become a part of Mexico, yes that would eliminate all their senators and congressmen and Abbot would br nulified.
Just saying!
@T_Zen_Warp I think it was the National Guard, properly under command of governors, which prevented the rescue.
It raises the Nuremberg question, to what extent are soldiers following illegal orders culpable? They must have known the civilians were in imminent peril because the border agents would have told them. Yet they blocked the rescue.
Just following orders?
Might they be court martialed?
What of their superiors who gave the orders?
Past time for the Feds to descend on this shithole state.
I simply can't read this. My eyes have barely opened to the day and I see a mother and two children will never open their eyes again - ever. I am simply overwhelmed with pain for them . . .
I try are to not let hatred near me but I'm feeling it right now.
Hating those who hate.
@MerakiLife Maybe not hatred in return, but a determination for justice. Trials for the soldiers who prevented the rescue, and if they can show good cause why they disbelieved the border agents who said it was an emergency, then let them be acquitted. Trial also for Abbott who ordered the actions which could reasonably have been known to cause such atrocities.
Yes, that's a more reasonable reaction. It just all smacked me first thing. I actively must guard myself from feeling too deeply.
Several winter's ago I was introduced to Ajo Samaritans and how a doctor friend was setup and arrested for treating 2 men at his door. Finally freed from prison and counter sued. Grateful for his families determination. So much feels wrong these days and this poor mother and children deserved to find a better life.
Hatred does no one any good, tainting the metaphysical atmosphere more than we know.
It contributes to moral rot strongly, and strangles what might otherwise be truly beautiful souls.
Florida of course strives against Texas to be the cruelest state. E.g. no medical care without your citizenship papers.
