It's done. I sent out a notification to the few "closest" twitterbird "friends" a week ago that I'd be ending my presence there and if they wanted to keep in touch, they could find me here & on IG. Or send me a DM to get my ph# and/or email.
What I got was crickets. So much for 3 1/2 years of chatting with people on a daily basis, sharing my life, comforting others. C'est la vie fuckers.
@see_the_sus I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. They may not have seen your messages, even direct messages, because Musk is drowning legitimate content with venom from his white supremacist friends. Or, knowing that to be the case, they may not even login to check Twitter any more.
Or, some of them might just be total jerks. In which case, be happy for them that they're staying in the right place for them 😉
