I'm starting to think that some people just cant smell/taste plastic.
Our Keurig is awful, to me. I can smell plastic when it's running or been recently run, and the coffee just taste like straight plastic. I have tried everything, including running vodka through it. Interestingly, the vodka running through it came out smelling like gasoline. Still reeks of plastic.
Gf? Says it doesn't smell or taste unusual.
@FreedomATX drinking from styrofoam (which I won’t do) makes my teeth hurt. And so did walking into the factory at my husband’s workplace, where they manufactured plastic parts (which I only did a couple of times). I also can’t stand drinking from aluminum cans. Blech! 🤢
That’s weird & interesting about the gasoline smell from vodka.
Steel teapot, glass French press would be my suggestion. Besides, Keurigs are terrible for the environment so you’d be doing yourself and the planet a favor.

The only way get rid of the bad taste from a Keurig machine is to realize it's about the worst quality coffee you can be drinking, besides the environmental impacts already mentioned. Throw it in the trash and brew high quality fresh roasted beans using a proper brewing method like French press, pour over, or aeropress.
Here's where I get my coffee. I recommend it to everyone.

I feel like a French press is extremely easy to clean. Especially an all-stainless steel one like I use.
Not sorry on the Happy Mug link. It's quite cheap compared to other high quality coffee suppliers, actually. I recommend you go straight for the Special Mug category. They sell excellent teas, too.
