UGH!
OK we are not going to go to the private insurance rehab (as nice as it is)
I checked out the one the court usually recommends. It has all the therapies. So we will get him on medicaid instead of private
I can't abide the price of the other. It seemed to ve geared towards executives and that might be weird for him.
Wishing you all the best with your son. None of this is easy. I'm glad and hopeful that he gets needed treatment.
@ucantstop_me 4 hours?? :(
@equillink yeah. I did some research on cost and private insurance coverage but any way we sliced it up it was too expensive. Private insurance only covers 50% if that. (After 7500 out of pocket)
So to simplify things, we agreed to the place the court has experience and since my county has a duel diagnosis (example: addiction plus an additional mental health thing, like anxiety disorder, adhd, ptsd, etc)
In my county - with the dual diag, Medicaid will cover residential treatment.
@ucantstop_me It sounds like you are extremely fortunate to live in that county!
@ucantstop_me so many hugs for you all💙
@ucantstop_me Sending you all my love. 💛🫂
@ucantstop_me This also sounds like a good path. As always, I send you my best for everyone. 💙
^^ it's just 4 hours away :(
