Wish there was one word that expressed condolences, transferred strength, wrapped you remotely in a tight warm hug while sitting quietly in solidarity and assured you support in your journey ahead in anyway you needed.
I would say it three times everyday to you, or more.๐

@damselfly59 ๐ I'm grateful.
We are pretty much at peace with moms cancer. At this time, she doesn't want treatment (I THINK the options are only surgery and radiation. She doesn't want to do either. The decision. Is hers but she is 89 and has been saying for a while that she's ready. I'm at peace with whatever she decides.
Also the the spiritual epiphany I had 2 years ago through deep meditation was life changing. I now fully believe we don't just end. There's more, much more. ๐

@ucantstop_me I went through a similar thing back in 1975 when my mom's cervical cancer came back after a 1-year remission. She told her surgeon then she didn't want any more surgery, no "bag", no more chemo. I could only respect her right to die as she wished, to die with her dignity. She was just past 60.
I can't tell you that it essentially makes dealing with the loss that much easier, but knowing that she made her choice does help.
*Hugs*

@Pat_Walrond oh my, she was so young ๐ and agree, its a huge relief when it becomes a decision instead of a bad surprise. It really helps with grief and gives me a great sence of love and peace. @damselfly59

I'm sorry to hear this. The longer you live, the greater the chance of cancer. My 93-year-old mom has breast cancer, and dementia. It's rough facing her death, but her life was awesome.

Sandra ๐๐ซ May the road ahead be kind to your hearts and souls. Youโve mentioned her decision not to proceed with treatment at this time. And, that through your mindfulness practice youโre honoring that is a place youโre embracing. I walked that path with mom. I extend my heart knowing the waves it may present and will hold yours to comfort along the way. Please lean on us as you need to. ๐
