I have a bad habit of watching films and shows with the color turned off, turning them into monochrome–just to get a different take on the viewing experience.

I realize that this is not the way that a picture filmed in color is meant to be viewed, and that by watching them in monochrome I am violating the purity of the auteur's artistic intent. Possibly I am breaking some IP law or other by converting the work into a form not authorized by its creators.

I don't really give a blip.

@DavidSalo I've done this before. It's weird, but I feel like some things are more immersive in black and white. And it helps CGI not look as gaudy? Maybe that one's just me.
