"Democracy" vs "republic" getting old? Try "oligarchy" vs "corporatocracy". #politics
Nearly 8 years ago, President Jimmy Carter called the state of America’s electoral process “an oligarchy with unlimited political bribery” resulting in “nominations for president or to elect the president.” On the Supreme Court's 2014 decision to end limits on campaign donations, he said the ruling “violates the essence of what made America a great country in its political system.”
