I've seen several trans folks making posts and videos encouraging people to stay alive. Saying that alone is enough.
And it makes me wonder how many have already chosen otherwise.
Seeing similar sentiments among my disabled friends, who are hurt and angry because they know they'll lose medical support and it will shorten their lives.
@tyghebright I want you to know, I see you and hold you and the trans/non binary community in my heart and actions. I finally looked at the things he formally wrote down that he will do, and removing Federal protections and funding for trans people and programs was on the list of five or six things. Also the constant targeting and bashing in the political ads was disgusting.

@tyghebright Of my two closest teaching colleagues, one is trans, the other is an immigrant. My ex, who also one of my oldest and dearest friends, is recovering from open heart surgery and a subsequent stroke. I would describe their current state as grim forbearance.
@tyghebright my nephew is one of the disabled who’s young life will be cut short when they take away his medical care and medicines.i can’t get past people voting to kill him and others so callously.
