Haitian voodoo has NOTHING to do with eating cats.
Yes, there is animal sacrifice in some forms of voodoo. It's even been recognized as a protected religious act by the Supreme Court.
BUT -- it's usually chickens. It's not other people's pets. And in the Supreme Court case, they found the animals were raised and killed in a far more humane manner than those raised commercially for meat.
She's such trash.
Remember, she blamed AIDS victims for not thinking more positively.
And if I'm being nitpicky:
The Haitian form is VouDoun or VouDou. It's a formal religion.
VooDoo is American (mostly New Orleans). It's a mix of religion and folk practices.
HooDoo is from Chicago, and is more folk practices than religion.
And there are probably a lot more white folks practicing pseudo versions of VooDoo than Haitians who practice VouDoun.
I'm just so infuriated by the casual racism of that new age grifter.
