I have no idea what I’m doing, other than clicking buttons lol. This is very interesting. I really kinda like it.
@ozda awesome info, thanks!
@tommnorm welcome aboard! If you need any help finding your way around feel free to ask, lots of people willing to help you out. 🙏
@Tail yeah, it’s really weird lol. Thanks for the future help! 🤘
@tommnorm what helped me is going into your profile and checking Preferences and enabling Ostrich Mode. Gets rid of a lot of the excess elements that a lot of people aren't really interested in. Just make sure you click Save Changes when you do.
Also: counter.social/userguide.pdf should have everything you need to know.
@tommnorm Hi Tom. Welcome. There is a user guide here: https://counter.social/userguide.pdf
I think the key things to remember are:
* There's no algorithm pushing content at you, so it's up to you to seek it out. So you'll have to curate your experience.
* Hashtags mean a lot more here. If you don't tag your posts they will flush through the firehose pretty quickly.
* People curate their own experience here. So follow people you like, mute people you don't, learn about the filter.
