@tmbrown327 China is doing alot of interesting things from alternative energies, robotics and artificial intelligence. I have many friends working as expats in HK and Beijing that were actively recruited. Meanwhile, we can't even ascertain what is and is not a fact anymore. But hey....we got easy access to lots of cool guns...so yeah Merica! 🙄

@hieronimus The shift in world focus on China's technical ability rather than their horrific human rights record is a little frightening, TBH. I spent a lot of time in China, and I like the people, but their government is not the shining city on the hill. And neither is ours, now.

@tmbrown327 Concur. I have alot of time in Asia in general and human rights there are largely a luxury in my experience. We used to try and maintain a moral high ground to be that beacon on the hill you mention. But since right now we don't give a shit (as an administration) no one else will either. Leadership abhors a vacuum, someone(thing) fills the void whether we like or not. Right now in the absence of steady leadership on the world stage, the jockeying for power is anew.

@hieronimus If Putin was not such a mind numbingly evil persona, he would have crushed this popularity contest months ago.
