I let the birdies listen to other parakeets on the tv all day while I putter and do my thing, and sometimes I catch a phrase one of the birds knows. I swear I just heard, "Okay, you won't talk to me? Fine. Whatever."
The book I just finished mentioned physicist Paul Ehrenfest's parrot, which he'd taught to say, "But gentlemen, this is not PHYSICS!"
