Maika Monroe from Longlegs has signed to star in 20th Century Studios’ remake of The Hand That Rocks the Cradle.
The reimagining was conceived by director Michelle Garza Cervera and scripted by Micah Bloomberg.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead is set to star opposite Maika Monroe in the upcoming remake of the 1992 psychological thriller.
Maika was the first choice to play the nanny and it seems like Michelle Garza Cervera really has a very specific direction she is going.
It's odd that a director like Cervera would be doing this kind of film. Her work is .... well ... not this. I wonder about her vision given The Bone Woman which was umm ... brutal AF.
