Finally watched S2E1 of #Found. I have been dreading it but I was happy with the direction it took.
My belief originally was that in letting Sir go it was going to take away that theatrical intimacy that I enjoyed so much between Shanola Hampton and the extraordinary Mark-Paul Gosselaar.
I also was worried that the equally amazing Azaria Carter would be relegated to the occasional flashback when her scenes with Mark-Paul were some of the strongest I've seen on primetime TV in a long time.

It didn't surprise me that Dionne Gipson's character Gina Quinn was the only one to understand Gabi's actions. Black women tend to have a different understanding of trauma, oppression, rage, and the extensive actions taken to deal with it day after day than white folks do. Of course she would understand and forgive Gabi without a second thought. She gets it. Everyone else of course ... well ... their reactions bore me to death and have absolutely zero nuance. Bad writing all around.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the season if only to catch glimpses of what I loved about S1 with the wonderful one on one moments with the trifecta of outstanding actors that made Found popular with audiences.
Since it's impossible for Sir and Gabi to have any physical interactions, I will have to make due with what little I am given but the banter and the way that relationship is written will still be enjoyable for me.
Everyone else on the show, same as first season, can really just go.
