In line with my luck with games lately, The Metaphor: ReFantazio has you playing a character who is a member of a marginalized group ... a race of people who are disrespected, mistreated, and considered more or less trash by the rest of the world ...

Playing characters like this is just not how I want to spend my gaming time. Playing characters who get abuse hurled at them in the game as part of the plot or have to deal with hatred and constant belittling is not ideal for me ...

When I want some down time I don't want to spend it in the exact same horrible world I live in every single day. That's not one of the reasons I game and certainly not when I actually want to relax and enjoy the free time I have scheduled.

I was genuinely looking forward to this game ... I will make my way through but adding stress to my life isn't great for health in general. I may choose to do something else with my free time if I feel my getting corrupted ...

Ok I DO love the turn based interface A LOT. It's gorgeous along with the battle effects.

In this world ... the enemies of all are called "humans" ...

Loving this story.

Indeed.

I also love that the person who writes these novels of "fantasy" of a world of equality and freedom his name is "More".

The Metaphor: ReFantazio demo is like 6 or 7 hours long. It's a good chunk of the first portion of the game and I have to say it's really an impressive and wild ride.

Political injustice, racism, prejudice, corruption, growth, justice ... it's all in there. If you've played PERSONA then you know what kinds of games ATLUS does and what themes they focus on.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is impressive as well visually and the story is fascinating so far.
