The #Unknown9 experience will begin with gaming but it doesn’t end there. It’s designed to expand across different entertainment mediums with every new story you consume. Multiple stories that come together to form one big adventure, a storytelling approach that unfolds a single narrative across multiple platforms, each one contributing uniquely to the overall experience.
The discussion forum on Steam for #Unknown9 is full of the most racists, sexist, phobic shit I've ever seen. Seriously the gaming community is absolutely broken AF.
@TheBoostress Nah its way, way, way worse now. Before it was maybe one or two trolls. Now its literally everyone.
@TheBoostress As a gamer since the late 70s and someone who has been on the Internet since before it was public I can say that spending time in gaming forums and in online spaces with other gamers was never the cesspool it is now and this has been growing worse in the past 15 years or so. Now you cannot step foot in a gaming forum without radicalized white boys being violent and dangerous. It wasn't always this way and the level has risen in the community significantly in the past 5 years.
@thewebrecluse having worked in the video game industry in early 90s as a Black woman I can say that it wasn't just one or 2. It was widespread but not seen as important. At least ole boy from Activision is finally outta there. Took 39 damn years. I'm glad u didn't experience much but as the market has grown (far beyond I ever predicted) it's more of the same.
