#NMIXX on Tiny Desk Korea. Such a deeply underestimated group of amazing vocalists. Overproduced Kpop music does them absolutely no justice. Amazing stuff here.

My tribemate isn't into kpop really ... well about as much as I am as far as being able to recognize the talent being buried beneath the awful kpop machine. He just watched the NMIXX tiny desk concert and came out and was just like "Yo! What the fuck! MORE OF THIS!" and its exactly what he and I have been saying for decades now. So many of these girls CAN SING, their agencies just don't LET THEM. They strip them of all their talent to shove them into this awful formula. Glad Tiny Desk exists ❤️
There needs to be more opportunities for people to experience Korean music outside of the Kpop machine. The ENTIRE commercial music industry in South Korea is controlled by 4 companies and everything outside of that has almost no focus. Channels on YouTube that allow artists to perform live in free ways that allow their actual vocal skills to shine without all the trash production are doing such a great service to the stagnant music industry there. We absolutely need more of this. ❤️
