After 115 years of being called the Boy Scouts of America, or just Boy Scouts, the well-known organization will officially change its name five years after the organization first allowed girls to join.

The new name, 𝙎𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙖, is officially going into effect on Feb. 7, 2025; the Boy Scouts' 115th anniversary.

The focus on inclusivity and this long overdue name change conveniently come after waves of sexual assault claims discussed in the 2023 Netflix documentary Scouts Honor.
