I am going out today to look at RVs.

I doubt very much we will end up buying one given all the horror stories I've been reading about, the lawsuits with RV companies, the ongoing expense and maintenance, gas and diesel prices, safety concerns, declining quality of builds, and numerous other downsides. But I still want to check some out and just see what's out there.

Our appointment isn't until noon but already my stress is sky high and my checklist has begun ...

@Smccune55 Dunno. We want to eventually buy some land and maybe put down a tiny house but laws and stuff with tiny houses are still up in the air in a lot of states so we just wanna see different places ... we've never been anywhere really ... so it would be cool to drive around and check out some of the tiny home communities or just see places and visit people I've known online for decades and never met in person stuff like that. Eventually, when we find a good plot of land, we'd settle there.

@Smccune55 Once my tribemate gets his RV Technician certification in a month or so, we'll be able to handle a lot of our own repairs and maintenance and we wanted to start a mobile technician business to help others on the road as well.

@Smccune55 It's pretty important to our family to be of service to others as much as possible. If we're going to be out there in the world we want to make sure we can do what we can if people need it ... getting first aid training is a must and just all of us having a good knowledge of repair. You never know what kinds of situations you may encounter out there and the RV community seems like a great community of people who help each other. We want to be sure we have knowledge to help others. ❤️

@thewebrecluse We always found RVers to be very welcoming and helpful. You’re going to be busy for awhile, getting prepared!

@Smccune55 Yeah we can't move out of where we live until our lease is up which won't be for another year so we have plenty of time to really explore our options, do a ton of research, and get all the training we want /need. And even then it's no guarantee ... My tribemate is job hunting and may get a job that isn't remote so we won't be able to up and go anywhere ... We really have to wait and see. Right now it's just a ton of research so that we CAN be prepared if we do decide. ❤️
