I have been drooling over some absolutely EPIC this week. I have to share and 😜

I'll start this thread off with MAD Architects who just always does amazing work. I like their work ALMOST as much as Zaha's visions.

Their proposed designs for the Nanhai Art Center in the heart of the Guangdong-Hong Kong are just phenomenal. This cultural hub will combine a theater, a museum, and a sport center.

As usual with MAD, sustainability and green carbon reduction features have been integrated under the translucent white ETFE membrane structure roof.

Throughout, the Nanhai Art Center utilizes energy-saving and environmentally friendly technologies, including photovoltaic power generation, rainwater collection and irrigation, and vertical greening systems.

Construction is set to begin in 2024 and full completion in 2029.

Great video about the design below!

Next up are some true innovators when it comes to , Dika Architecture Design Centre.

Their mindblowingly EPIC design of the Dalezhiye Kindergarten in Sichuan Province completely rethinks and reimagines the idea of what an educational environment should look like while at the same time utterly NAILING IT.

If I was in kindergarten and my bus pulled up to THIS school I'd NEVER want to go home 😜

Drawing from natural organic forms, the land, and the confluence of three rivers to the enduring Lingyun Maitreya Buddha, the design aims to infuse the space with local cultural identity. Capturing the site’s allure, the project’s name translates to ‘a place of forgotten beauty’.

4 years after visiting this perfect location, DIKA completed the construction.

I saved my favorite for last. ❤️

This is the Crystal Office Building by SAKO Architects in Jinan China.

What is there to say about this? Nothing. It speaks for itself. I keep expecting to see an ED-209 sitting out front.

The 29-story office building contains an 88 foot atrium that is supplied natural sunlight via the "crack" designs in the exterior walls. The cracks also act as both a private terrace for the offices facing it as well as a common terrace connected to the atrium.

At night, the office building transforms into something truly out of TRON 😆 The horizontal bands of light that reveal the stacked atrium and the vertical light that reveal the "cracks" gradually change to blue and purple.

Locals call these undulating "cracks" a rising dragon.
