This is a brand-new song from The Cure!!! It sounds like it belongs on Bloodflowers and that is a very good thing.
@Rstrahs I love Bloodflowers... One of my top faves along with Wish and Pornography.
@theunabeefer Pornography is one of the great albums that seem to get looked over because it doesn't have "hits".
@Rstrahs I think the fact that it isn't quite as harshly "dark" as the other two is what makes it feel out of place for me... Like, it could be a duo without that and it would work just fine. It's just the most popular, so it's included...
It really doesn't matter though. A Cure album is a Cure album, and I want more!!! Also, thrilled that the Wish deluxe is FINALLY coming out. Only 7 years too late! ... And without Show/Parts/Sideshow for some reason?
@Rstrahs Hopefully they'll shove those onto their own set, because otherwise it's a missed opportunity to special edition Wish without the live concert and its albums.
@theunabeefer lol, I would never doubt Robert Smith to back away from performing an album live. He seems to be more sentimental than most rock stars.
@theunabeefer I think Disintegration is the bridge between the two. It isn't my go-to album from them but I can't deny that some of the songs are great and have plenty of atmospheres that will later be found on Bloodflowers.
