Although I’m a Chicagoan born and raised, I’m not too into that deep dish stuff. I like it, but it’s the Chicago thin crust tavern style that I love most. But I’ve had great pizza in many US cities and in different countries. Italy, Switzerland (Ticino), France. Fuck it. I love it all.

Also, I keep having to explain to people that we don't often eat deep dish. Tavern style is the go-to for most of us! 26 bucks and I get a party/family size tavern style 2-topping, and if we're lucky, it lasts 2 days! Or we just kill it all in one sitting.
Deep dish is for company and the odd occasion we want it.
