Tonight friends and I watched "Plan 9 from Outer Space" (Rifftrax version) for the first time. Superb: sublimely awful on so many levels. Writing was first-draft quality; you could see the actors reading off cue cards some of the time; the sets were endearingly pathetic; lighting changed from day to night and back within the same scene. Made my student films look professional.
