: Why do people try to haggle with people selling things at already clearance prices?
I've a 3-yr-old, nearly like-new $2,200 luxury elevating recliner (for the elderly and elsewise mobility impaired) on the market for firm $750 because I don't need it and want it out of the house, and MFs try to get me to take $250 or $100 for it, and they're serious and get shirty when I tell them to FO.
Relatedly, why do people who agree to buy stuff they say they want and need... not ever show up to...
: ...actually get the stuff? Are they trying to be like general contractors? Someone says their daughter needs a wheelchair and that getting my (like-new because I took proper care of it) old one for $100 is perfect, but the day after confirming with me, they ghost, and ne'er do I hear from them again. Stuff like that. Is it a window-shopping thing?
It's puzzling, however common it has always been.
Someone should call shenanigans.
