Even before I was dx'd, I always thought of it as: this is who I am, and it doesn't reflect badly on me if people think I have an ulterior motive for being nice. I can't control other's reactions 🤷♀️
However, in an attempt to avoid that scenario, I also usually preemptively overexplain myself (the character limit is a blessing & a curse! 😂)
