1/2: This excerpt hit home with me when I read it when I was about thirty-eight or thirty-nine. It hit me because that's how my mind worked/works, and when I was a kid I had real trouble with involuntary immediate associations my mind made, no partitions, everything was all together in the same tangle all the time.
