@glassramen: Yeah, the Soviets look verging on triggering a genuine international nuclear emergency, and it's because their Master Strategist's military is getting served its lunch.
@glassramen: The Soviets never stopped with the Cold War, and they've been playing politicians, banks, the media, and others like fiddles since the mid- to late-1990s. They bought loads and loads of politicians, media figures, celebrities, and even bought members of Congress and of Her Majesty's Government, including its immediately previous Prime Minister. They ran the ground game in plain sight for thirty years.
@glassramen: That said, Putin and his buds were so busy playing afield they never much paid attention at home other than suppressing dissent and torturing and/or murdering dissidents. They stole from the populace, but the populace are accustomed to it since Stalin, but they also stole from the military from within, I reckon never figuring they ever invade anyone again.
@thedisasterautist Yep! Hell there are Russian soldiers who were given mosins! Now don't get me wrong, I like me a good mosin, but on the modern battlefield it's nowhere near as effective. I'm sadly not surprised to see how poorly their military are doing. You can tell the ones who really wanted to fight for their country (for better or worse) died early on, and now it's all the poor people who didn't want to go in the first place.
@thedisasterautist For real. It's been fumble after warcrime after fumble with this war. It's really annoying seeing how many people on twitter are simping so hard for putin. Like, who's more likely to bomb a power plant, the guys who treat the POWs with respect, and are just trying to retake their homeland, or the guys who fire rockets at apartments? Idk man it's just so annoying.
