@thedisasterautist Yeah... dancing around asking...

the fun thing is I also have demand avoidance, so... if they don't explicitly ask me, I don't know they want it done half the time, and if they DO, there's a chance my brain still says "NOPE!"

@sentientdessert: As do I, have demand avoidance. If people dance around trying to get me to do something, I will dance along with them. (To me it's a kind of verbal sparring, and I enjoy that stuff immensely.) Then when they finally get flustered and blurt out that they're not asking me but telling me, if I'm currently doing something or about to, I'll tell them no. If I don't want to, I'll tell them no or ask they why they don't do it, and if it's an impractical reason, I will argue that...

@sentientdessert: ...they should go ahead and do it themselves. But if I'm free, then I may do it, if it's not stupid or would take longer than I have/want to spend. If people straight ask me, however, I'm more often more agreeable than not.

@thedisasterautist The thing that makes everything grind to a halt. "We need to do this." When what they really mean is "You have to do this."

@sentientdessert: Yep. That's an instant red flag, and my bullshit-o-meter goes to Defcon 3.
