f I already knew an insurrection was highly likely just by reading Twitter...how did the white house and law enforcement etc "not know" it was brewing???

@Blackwolf: They did know. OR some did. I mean in different agencies and departments, or they could tell something was up. It's come out lately that some law-enforcement and domestic intelligence folks sent up flare that things seemed to be brewing, and they were told from up top to shush or that it'd be handled by others (and it wasn't).
