I just heard a Project Manager over 60 tell someone he was going to email a document with all the passwords and encryption keys to the owner in a waiting room at car dealership over their guest WIFI.
me:
@awnaves I have been trying very hard to follow @th3j35t3r lead of doing good but the old me did hear that.
Oh oh, donβt ever say that! π€£

Sounds to me like he's just ignorant, and not because of his age. I know a lot of people younger than me (I'm 52) who are clueless about password protection.
@see_the_sus I have 27 year olds users who are as bad as the 73 year olds.
@thechriskidd
Our accountant at work (in his low 40s I would guess) does that kind of stuff all the time. I refuse to email him any of my important identifying data. Once he emailed me all of HIS banking info, address and SS.
@GreenCheese I was shocked the person on the other end didn't say "Please do not"
@thechriskidd
So many people just go with the program!
@GreenCheese For me that would set off the "Don't make more work for me" alarm.
@thechriskidd
That kind of thing makes my hair stand on end.
@thechriskidd What could go wrong?
