Watching #TheInBetween with Harriet Dyer and Paul Blackthorne. This series was so good. They had consultants that had similar abilities and you can tell. The show was very misunderstood ... character was as well. I remember people complaining about how calm she was about everything happening and I was like ... this is her life since she was a kid, it's normal for her. She deals with it. She handles things like anyone in her situation would. You can't project yourself into who the character is.
@thewebrecluse I find would-be reviewers who quibble with a character's actions, or a plot point very strange.
The story is the story. Each of us is free to tell our own stories, and there are more channels than ever available to do that with.
It's beneficial to talk about our individual reactions to the story -- character, plot-line, theme, etc. Believability aside, wishing to change the story is a weird impulse.
Apprehending story grows our own understanding and develops our own character.
