As part of the work for an upcomming project I was asked to make a mix sound like it was done by AI. That's a first for me. I figured out a way to do it, but there's that after-effect noise that is common to AI work and I'm not a fan.

But this is a gig for hire. I wrote the song for them, and produced the album, but ultimately it will be their name on the album.

But the songwriting credit is MINE. I'm taking all the fucking royalties for writing the music.

I routinely turn down work for people who want me to fix their playing/vocals with Autotune. I fucking hate Autotune. Never occurred to me that someone would WANT to sound like AI.

Gonna need to be careful about that for the future.

@Animeraider I have no problem with autotune and other tools being used to deliberately create a "robotic" sound a-la Cher etc. When it's obvious like that, it becomes part of the music. What I don't like it when it's used in an attempt to cover up a poor vocal performance. I feel cheated then. I'd rather hear an occasional bum note.
