I don't care how many songs there are about rainbows; what I want to know is why are there so many songs about underage girls?

@artildawn
Because for the longest time, when young girls threw themselves at rock stars, the rock stars were stupid enough, perverted enough (or likely both) to encourage it and take advantage of them. Their managements not only turned a blind eye but often enabled the hookups.

Young girls *still* throw themselves at rock stars, but lessons have (mostly) been learned.

@artildawn
So you get "I saw her standing there" by The Beatles,
"My Sharona" by The Knack, "Jailbait" by Motorhead, "Don't Stand so Close to Me" by The Police and so on.
