I just listened to a Pink Floyd album I haven't heard in ages.
😱 I didn't like it!
So, fellow Pink Floyd fans, what's your
*least favourite Pink Floyd studio album*
????
Go!
@stueytheround
Believe it or not, for me its "The Wall". What an overblown mess. I don't really count "Endless River" as part of the canon, but I think I'd rather listen to that. I think "The Wall" represents everything that went wrong with rock music in the 70s - it's the gravestone on classic rock's burial plot.
@MPCavalier Oooh! Controversial 🤣🤣
Agreed on Endless River.
It's more Dave Gilmour's tribute to Rick Wright than a Floyd album.
@MPCavalier
The Wall is top three for me but that might be due to my age.
I was seven years old when it was released and my Dad bought the copy I now own.
So it was hugely influential on my taste in music as a result. I love it. Every single note.
I suppose like all very influential music, part of its influence is that there will be as many who dislike it as there are who like it.
The folk who decided to make music "as different to that as possible" created amazing stuff.
@MPCavalier The movie is excellent IMO. The visuals give it a context that the album misses. It wasn't until I saw it that I really understood the autobiographical nature of it.
