Wildfires in #Texas during February. FOUR of them, actually.
@Agatha I've seen so many videos of horses and cows running on the roads down there trying to get away from the fires. It's just awful! The complex is so big, can see it from space now... ๐ซ

Here in Albuq we had fire warnings for 2 or 3 days last week. Seems like climate change is ratcheting up FAST.

I've been trying to come up with a plan to get away for this summer, but even going north is no guarantee - the west coast of Canada has been experiencing massive fires the last few years. Where else can one go???
I wish I had the money to move to Europe. The UK, while they've had flooding in some areas and the temps are higher than their used to, would bother me. Or Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, France, Austria.
Maybe, if I'd been better at squirreling away money when I was younger, then just maybe I could have escaped but I've never been good at dealing with money. ๐
@see_the_sus Post-Brexit UK is to be avoided. Mainland Europe is a good goal. I'd go to Netherlands if I could.

Do you think there is any chance that the UK will rejoin the EU?
I can't even imagine the extent of the nightmare regarding jobs and citizenship, not to mention upending the economy.
@BlueStateBabe I honestly think we're stuck. No government would have the courage to try, and even if they did *and* we voted to return, I don't know if the EU would have us back. I honestly can't blame them either.

So very sad. I'm not in the thick of it, so I'm certainly not knowledgeable enough to understand the fine points, but it just seemed like crazy chaos, much like the insanity we dealt with (and are still trying to fix) from the Trump years.
