Hey people!
A naut needs some advice about potential herbal flea treatments. Any folk care to chime in?

@stueytheround I found this. "Skin So Soft from Avon is a bath oil used to help open pores and moisturize the skin, and it really does work as a flea repellent.Skin So Soft could be the right flea repellent for your pet.It is recommended that the substance be diluted as one part Skin So Soft to three parts water.It is best applied with a spray bottle." It doesn't kill fleas already on your dog,it just repels.Guess they just jump off.Never tried this when I had dogs, so I don't know if it works.

Dear @Vikky can you help advise pagan mother with some dog friendly treatments,

@stueytheround when we had a flea infestation with our dogs, flea collars, drops, tablets- nothing.
Peppermint oil was in Vets Best and was what instantly took care of the little buggers.
Recently used an oil on Kota made for seborrheic dermatitis and has tea tree oil and aloe so takes care of bacteria and fungus. Cleared up Kotas staph infection and fungus problem and sores.

@stueytheround

Flea shampoos and flea combs
The environments also needs to be treated as fleas do not live on the pets but in the carpets & crevices & only jump pets for a meals

IMO OTC remedies rarely work & can cause problems with GI tract or more skin irritation

I get $$ is tight but I would recommend they speak with their vet and not listen to some internet rando like me
( with 30+ vet med experience )
