Just finished washing the dishes and I have a question!
Do any neurologists or psychologists know why it is that when one puts one's hands into hot or warm water, one often feels a sudden urge to pee?
I know I'm not alone in this and I presume it's psychological rater than physiological but I'd love to know if it's been studied and what conclusions have been reached.

@stueytheround I don't think it has anything to do with putting your hands in the water (happens with cold water too)... I think it is hearing water flowing. If you don't pass water before going in the shower, the minute you turn it on, same urge.

@Pat_Walrond Could well be, or could be both.
There's an old (not very nice) prank boys used to play on each other.
You'd wait till they were asleep then place their hand into a cup of warm water and they'd wet the bed.

@stueytheround Ohh... never heard of that one... but then I'm an only child - no bros... lol

The other thing that's similar is managing just fine until you walk up to your door, and put the key in the lock, and then - real challenge to make it to the loo!

@Pat_Walrond Yes! Similtaneously discovering that you've lost the simple ability to put a key in a lock 🀣

@stueytheround You know we talk about our blood being the same colour, one mouth, one nose etc... no matter what colour or religion or belief - add these two instances and it's clear we're the same under the hood... πŸ˜‚
